Paul Schmidgall Our first September recipient is a Realtor with London Bay Homes. When just out of high school he joined the Army and served from 1988 until 1992. He was stationed in Germany and this is where his aspirations to become a Chef began. He’s a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, and he earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix. Beginning in 1998 he spent time working as a private chef here in Naples. However, it was during a visit to Spain which inspired his love of Paella, a rice dish mixed with vegetables, meat, beans, or seafood, leading him to open his new business, Chef Paul’s Paella. Paul catered the 2011 WCR Naples-on-the-Gulf Wine Pairing Event helping to make this fundraiser so successful! Paul provides a unique catering experience, whether it’s on your lanai, in your home, or at the beach. An avid athlete, Paul has trained and raced in several triathlons. Congratulations to Paul Schmidgall.
Rosemary Hammar
Our second Shining Star recipient is a Realtor with the Harris Team for John R. Wood, Realtors, and has been active in Naples real estate since the 1980’s. She holds designations as an Accredited Buyers Representative, and is a WCR Leadership Training Graduate. This recipient assisted Chef Paul with his catering for the Wine Pairing fundraiser working to help make it so successful. She’s married to Jim, a local developer/builder and has a son, Mark. She enjoys golf, travel, and the company of many friends. Congratulations to another September Shining Star – Rosemary Hammar.
Peterson Harter
Originally from New Orleans, today’s third Shining Star recipient has had an opportunity to live in many places, some of which include, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New York, California, and of course Naples, Florida. He has been a realtor since February, 2011 working for John R. Wood, Realtors. He’s a 2009 graduate of Culinary Institute of America and also assisted Chef Paul with the Wine Pairing event. With his help, this first time event ended in great success. Congratulations to Peterson Harter!
